SEATTLE — Some parking rates are going up this week in Seattle.
Rates will go up $1 an hour during certain times in the First Hill, Chinatown/ International District, Denny Triangle, and Belltown areas.
The Seattle Department of Transportation said it has been studying traffic habits during the pandemic and is making adjustments to support the changing needs of businesses and drivers.
Parking will stay at $0.50 cents at other times and locations and it’s still free in more than 600 food and retail pick-up zones.
