EDMONDS, Wash. — A northline Sounder train has been delayed after it hit a car on the tracks Friday in Edmonds.

Sound Transit said people inside the vehicle got out before the train struck the car.

No one was injured.

KIRO 7 found out the car had stalled on the tracks, and the train hit the car at a slow speed. The train dragged the car about 50 yards.

Sound Transit officials did not say when service for train 1706 would resume.

A bus was called for train riders.

The incident is under investigation.
