There could possibly be a setback in Seattle Public Schools’ plans to have some students return to in-person learning beginning March 1.
Preschoolers, kindergartners and first-grader students were set to return to the classroom. However, Superintendent Denise Juneau announced at a meeting Thursday that a March 1 start was unlikely to happen.
Juneau said she anticipates students will return later in March.
The school district is negotiating with its staff about when students could return.
New info on @SeaPubSchools: pre-K, K, and 1st grade students will likely NOT be returning to in-person learning March 1st. Supt Juneau now expects them to start LATER in March. She does expect negotiations will allow a March 1st start for students in special education pathways
