MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. — SR 169 in Maple Valley is closed through Oct. 20 after crews found the remainder of a bridge structure at a project site, King County officials said.
Crews were working on a project to reduce flooding in the area when they discovered the remnants of the bridge.

Both directions of SR 169 between 196th Avenue Southeast and Cedar Grove Road Southeast are closed. Cedar River Trail will also remain closed while work is going on.
Construction began again the morning of Oct. 17 after WSDOT inspected the site. Crews are working quickly to complete the project and reopen the road.
