DAVENPORT, Wash. — Crews worked to clear a train derailment in Davenport, Washington, that blocked State Route 28 on Friday.
Both directions of the road, near milepost 30, were closed after several train cars overturned, the Washington State Department of Transportation tweeted.
No injuries were reported from the derailment.
Traffic in the area was detoured until the road was reopened.
WSDOT said crews will return on Saturday to put the derailed train cars back on the tracks.
Here is the first video of the crews removing the trains from SR 28. While several train cars are still tipped over, SR 28 is now open in Davenport. Crews will be on scene tomorrow to re-rail the derailed trains. Appreciate the local and their tractor to clear SR 28. pic.twitter.com/NjgKbeJKLM
