STEVENS PASS, Wash. — US 2 at Stevens Pass remained closed Monday night after about a dozen trees and a power line came down, WSDOT officials said.
The pass reopened to traffic around 4:30 a.m.
“Stevens Pass reopened early this morning. However, expect more chances of snow and changing conditions through the rest of the week,” a spokesperson for WSDOT said in a tweet.
US 2 was closed Monday afternoon due to poor winter weather conditions.
The closure extended from the summit at milepost 66 to Coles Corner at milepost 84.
US 2 will remain closed overnight between the summit of Stevens Pass and Coles Corner (mp 66-84). A crew will reevaluate the conditions at 5 a.m. tomorrow. Heavy snow clinging to branches has caused trees to fall onto the roadway. Do not attempt to go around road closure points. pic.twitter.com/jDk1oWpOGx
