Stevens Pass opens for ski season Wednesday

STEVENS PASS, Wash. — Stevens Pass has announced it will open for its 2021-2022 season on Wednesday.

Opening day was previously scheduled for Dec. 3, but was pushed back due to warm temperatures and rainfall in the area.

“We can’t wait to welcome our guests back to Stevens Pass this year, and we are ramping up for an amazing season ahead, filled with the adventure and pure Pacific Northwest powder that has become synonymous with our resort,” said Tom Pettigrew, Stevens Pass vice president and general manager.

Resort officials say safety is their top priority as they welcome guests back.

“As we prepare to kick things off, we continue to put the safety of our guests and employees at the forefront, ensuring that we provide an environment that is conducive to an experience that guests expect at our mountain,” said Pettigrew.

Masks will be required indoors and anyone 12 or older must show proof of vaccination if they are dining in at any of the resort’s restaurants.

Night skiing and riding are set to begin on Friday, pending pass conditions. Unlike last season, guests will not need a reservation to ski or ride.
