Ancient Lakes Elementary in Quincy suffered extensive damage from a Tuesday storm.
A micro burst ripped the roof of the school gym.
The school district posted saying the maintenance department has been working tirelessly to make sure the floor and other areas in the gym are protected while the roof is repaired.
The roof was installed as part of a remodel in the 1990s.
The district says they were planning on bringing back some of their youngest students starting next month. There’s no word yet on how this might impact those plans.
