Suspect dead after eviction order leads to shootout in Auburn

AUBURN, Wash. — Deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a shooting in Auburn Friday afternoon, according to the Valley Independent Investigative Team.

At about 11 a.m. Friday, deputies with the King County Sheriff’s SWAT Team and Auburn police served a high-risk civil eviction order at 24 Auburn Way South.

Shortly after making contact, shots were fired and a person was killed at the scene. No officers were injured.

According to a video of the shooting, a SWAT team approached a home and was fired on before they fired back.

Six deputies were involved in the shootout. All of them have been placed on administrative leave.
