A strong spring storm is arriving in the Puget Sound on Sunday, bringing wind, rain and isolated thunderstorms.
Rain will increase with breezy conditions and mountain snow throughout the late morning and afternoon. Unstable air will also increase chances for isolated thunderstorms through the evening.
There could be hail, gusty winds and heavy downpours with the storms.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 5 a.m. Monday for Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass.
A Wind Advisory is also in effect for most of the day around Western Washington. The coast could see gusts up to 50 mph.
Most of Puget Sound will see winds between 20-40 mph.
The storm caused multiple power outages around Puget Sound. As of 3 p.m., Puget Sound Energy reported 21 outages impacting over 1,500 customers. Snohomish PUD reported outages affecting over 2,000 customers.
Viewer Aaron Boisjolie posted this video of a wind gust causing a tree to crash in his backyard. Luckily, no one was hurt.
A dust storm in Eastern Washington also closed both directions of I-90 near Moses Lake. There is currently no ETA to reopen.
