Summit at Snoqualmie opens for skiers, snowboarders

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — The wait is over! The Summit at Snoqualmie’s ski season starts Tuesday.

According to the website, the base depth doubled over the weekend, providing enough snow to open.

Opening day is for Summit and Ikon passholders only. The mountain will open to the public on Wednesday.

Four lifts will be up and running: Pacific Crest, Little Thunder, Julies, and Dodge Ridge.

An opening date for the new Wildside and Internationale chairlifts has not been announced.

Staff cautions skiers and snowboarders to take it easy. While there is enough snow to open, the coverage is still thin.

Summit West is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. all week.

Don’t forget- a new parking policy is now in effect. Skiers and snowboarders will need a valid permit to park in lots operated by The Summit at Snoqualmie.

Permits are free for Summit season passholders and Flex Ticket Pack buyers. Permits are $5 for Ikon passholders and day ticket buyers. For more information on the new policy, click here.
