Supporters rally for missing Oakley Carlson

GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, Wash. — Friends and loved ones of missing 5-year-old Oakley Carlson are continuing to shine a spotlight on the Grays Harbor County investigation.

In front of the county superior court building on Saturday, people called for justice for Carlson.

The child was last seen alive almost a year ago on Feb. 10, 2021.

The search for Carlson concluded last month as search crews combed through roughly 312 acres of one Oakville home on Dec. 10, 2021, looking for any sign of the 5-year-old.

That same week, Oakley’s biological parents, Andrew Carlson and Jordan Bowers were charged with felony child abandonment related to one of Oakley’s siblings. Their hearing on those charges is set for April.

However, no charges have been filed concerning Oakley’s disappearance, because neither she nor any remains have been found.

Supporters of Oakley rallying outside the courthouse Saturday said her parents know what happened to the little girl.

“There is hope, it’s just pretty slim,” Erik Hiles, a former foster parent of Oakley, said last month.
