Surveillance video captures man shattering door of Aberdeen business

ABERDEEN, Wash. — The Aberdeen Police Department arrested a 30-year-old man, caught on surveillance video throwing a large rock through a business door, shattering the glass.

Just before 10 a.m. on Monday, officers were called to 600 West Wishkah Street after someone noticed the glass door of the Comcast/Xfinity business had been smashed in.

Upon arrival, officers searched the interior of the building but did not find anyone inside. The Xfinity Security Manager provided surveillance footage of the incident, which showed a man walking up and throwing a large rock at the door, before kicking in the remaining glass and wandering inside.

At 12:45 p.m. on the same day, an Aberdeen officer spotted the same man walking down West Heron Street and arrested him for second-degree burglary and second-degree malicious mischief.

The man was booked into the Aberdeen City Jail.

It’s unclear if anything was stolen from the business.
