Seattle police arrested a murder suspect early Saturday morning after a King County Metro driver flagged down officers near 3rd Avenue South and South Main Street.
The driver informed police that Richard Sitzlack, the suspect in the stabbing death of a King County Metro bus driver, was believed to be on board the bus.
Officers located Sitzlack asleep in the back of the vehicle.
Additional patrol units were called to the scene, and Sitzlack was taken into custody at 4:51 a.m. without incident.
After his arrest, Sitzlack was transported to Seattle Police Headquarters, where homicide detectives interviewed him.
He will be booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Murder as the investigation continues.
