Joseph Cantrell, a Microsoft employee accused of stabbing another Microsoft employee in Redmond, pled not guilty to an attempted murder charge on Thursday.
Cantrell appeared before a King County judge for his arraignment Thursday morning.
The judge set his bail at $2,000,000.
Cantrell is accused of stabbing another Microsoft employee near the company’s campus in Redmond.
The attack, which happened on the corner of 156th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 28th Street, left the victim with at least 12 stab wounds, a skull fracture, and a brain bleed/hemorrhage, according to court documents.
The victim has been recovering from his injuries,
The victim and his friends claim they do not know who Cantrell is, leading detectives to conclude the stabbing was unprovoked, according to court documents.
The trial is set to begin on April 24th, 2023.
