Suspect in series of shootings, including child’s car seat in Sand Point, to be arraigned Wednesday

SEATTLE — The suspect who was arrested on Nov. 22 for a string of shootings in Seattle is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday morning.

In one incident on Nov. 7, a toddler was nearly hit by a bullet after the suspect reportedly randomly shot into the back of a car the child was riding in near Sand Point in Northeast Seattle. The car was fired upon multiple times, and the 3-year-old suffered abrasions to his face.

According to police, the suspect has previous violent felonies and is connected to a series of shootings endangering “numerous victims” between Oct. 6 and Nov. 7. Police say he is also suspected of being involved in many more shootings that are still under investigation.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged the suspect with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of first-degree assault.

The arraignment is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
