FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Two people were taken into custody Thursday after a crash and an attempted carjacking in Federal Way, police said.
Before 1 p.m., officers responded to a crash they saw in the 29200 block of Military Road South.
According to police, two people inside the car fled and tried to carjack another car to escape.
Officers fought with the driver of the suspect vehicle, who was later detained.
The passenger who ran away was taken into custody after a person reported seeing a suspicious person running through backyards.
The two suspects had minor injuries.
