The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary early Saturday morning after suspects used a stolen car to smash into a store.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a commercial burglary alarm around 4:25 a.m. and responded within a minute.
When they arrived, they found the store’s front door and wall frame had been rammed with a car.
Several suspects reportedly entered the store, stole merchandise, and drove away in a second vehicle waiting nearby.
The suspects escaped just before deputies arrived and were not located during the initial response.
The car used to break into the store was reported stolen earlier that night in Kirkland.
While the store suffered significant damage, authorities noted that the theft resulted in “relatively little gain” for the suspects.
Detectives with the King County Sheriff’s Office will handle the follow-up investigation.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the King County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center at 206-296-3311 and reference case #C24041647.
