CLALLAM COUNTY, Wash. — Detectives are investigating after a woman’s body was found Friday morning in a wooded area in east Clallam County.
Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office were called to a report of an unresponsive woman who was found by a passerby off of a U.S. Forest Service road, south of Blyn, officials said.
Officials said the passerby was not sure if the woman needed medical attention and called out to her but she didn’t respond.
When medics and deputies arrived, they determined the woman was dead.
Officials originally said the woman’s death is being investigated as suspicious, but on Sunday said the death is being investigated as a homicide.
The woman’s identity has not been confirmed, officials said.
