TACOMA, Wash. — Officers with the Tacoma Police Department say a 17-year-old boy was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month.
Police said just before 2 a.m. on July 11 officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3900 block of Ruston Way.

When they arrived, police said they saw several vehicles leaving the area and they found an injured man.
Police said they tried to perform life saving measures on the man until medics arrived. Twenty-three-year-old Benito Juarez was later pronounced dead by the Tacoma Fire Department, police said.
During their investigation, police said they identified the 17-year-old as the suspect.
They arrested the teen around 3 p.m. Saturday during a traffic stop and he was booked into jail on investigation of first degree murder.
