SEATTLE — A 16-year-old boy is charged with shooting and killing a man at a West Seattle Metro bus stop Aug. 9.
Loyan Abdullahi Ahmed is charged as an adult with second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Police said Ahmed got into an argument with 37-year-old Taylor Fehlen while riding the bus about 11 p.m. Aug. 9. Officers said Ahmed shot Fehlen multiple times in the stomach when the two got off the bus at 35th Avenue Southwest and Morgan. Fehlen was rushed to Harborview Medical Center where he later died.

Detectives said they had a good idea who Ahmed was thanks to Metro bus security video captured the night of the shooting.
SWAT teams surrounded the teen’s High Point home the afternoon of Aug. 14 and took him into custody.
Ahmed was armed with a 9mm semiautomatic handgun the night of the altercation and shooting, according to court documents.
