SHELTON, Wash. — A teen has died after driving at high speeds on Highway 101, a few miles south of Shelton, on Sunday around 7:30 a.m.
The 18-year-old was northbound at Ryan Road and tried to pass another car using the left turn lane.
While trying to pass, his car swerved and struck a cable barrier, causing it to roll over, reported the Washington State Patrol. His car stopped facing southbound in the median.
It’s not clear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
