EVERETT, Wash. — Another armed robbery in the North Sound early Monday makes three within the last three days.
The latest robbery happened at an ampm store in Everett at 220 Southeast Everett Mall Way just after midnight.
Authorities say the robbery was like another that happened at the same store some time before, where one or more robbers asked for cellphones.
Police are still looking for the suspects in Everett, but they're not sure how many people were involved.
The other recent robberies happened in Edmonds and Arlington.
In Edmonds early Friday, a clerk at a 7-Eleven on 236th Street was shot and killed. Surveillance cameras were rolling as the suspect jumped on the counter and pulled the trigger.
"He ends up firing a shot and leaving. So, we're not 100 percent sure if we're going to call it a robbery at this point,” said Sgt. Shane Hawley with the Edmonds Police Department.
Another convenience store was robbed in Arlington Saturday. In that case, four men robbed the ampm on 172nd Street. Police said one man threatened the clerk with what turned out to be a BB gun that looked like a handgun.
Officers from multiple agencies flooded the area and all four suspects were taken into custody.
A 15 -and 16-year-old were booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center on robbery charges. The other two people were let go after police found they had just met the others and were not directly involved in the robbery, according to Arlington police.
