CHEHALIS, Wash. — A narcotics investigation the spanned from California to Washington yielded 23.30 pounds of methamphetamine and 2.35 pounds of heroin, Centalia police announced Friday.
Members of the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET), with assistance from a narcotics detection dog and the Lewis County Sheriff's Special Enforcement Team, conducted surveillance Thursday on suspected drug traffickers in the 1700 block of NW Louisiana Avenue in Chehalis, Washington.
During their investigation, authorities made contact with three males in two separate vehicles, one of which had a California license plate.
"After being deployed, the K-9 alerted and a subsequent search of the California plated vehicle yielded 23.30 pounds of Methamphetamine and 2.35 pounds of Heroin," police said in a news release.
Juan Fernando Campos-Campos, 29, of Vancouver, Washington; 22-year-old Manuel Rojas-Valdez, of Rialto, California; and 52-year-old Jose Luis Felix-Gonzalez, of Stone Park, Illinois, were arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail, police said Friday.
