RENTON, Wash. — The Renton Police Department says it arrested three people, accused of working together to steal over $143,000 in merchandise from multiple stores from late October 2024 and early Jan 2025.
The trio is accused of stealing high-end fragrances and cosmetics from Renton, Tukwila, Federal Way, Issaquah, Seattle, Auburn Lakewood, and Redmond Ulta stores.
Detectives say there were at least 24 incidents.
“Video surveillance shows the suspects’ casual nature as they pull items from the shelves, drop them in their bags, and leave the store without paying,” the department shared online:
The investigation resulted in multiple charges against each person:
25-year-old Vershawn Hairston faces 10 charges of Organized Retail Theft. Hairston remains in jail on $325,000 bail. He had several active warrants, was out on pretrial release, and had 22 prior convictions, including four for organized retail theft, according to the department.
18-year-old R’Mani Sweet is in custody on $50,000 bail and faces six counts of Organized Retail Theft. Police say she had one active warrant.
26-year-old Imiko Stark posted bail and is not in custody. Stark faces four counts of Organized Retail Theft.
