PUGET SOUND, Wash. — Thousands lost power after Saturday morning thunderstorms rolled across Puget Sound.
Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued as lightning, thunder, heavy rain and hail pelted the region.
According to Puget Sound Energy’s outage map, the storms knocked out power for 4,500 customers as of 10 a.m. Most of those outages have been restored.
The rain is expected to taper off in the afternoon but return in the evening.
Highs will drop into the mid-60s and it will get pretty wet and breezy tomorrow night.
On Sunday, scattered showers will be around, tapering late. Next week should be mostly dry, with a few showers possible on Wednesday.
