TUKWILA, Wash. — Fire crews are at the scene of an empty building at a Tukwila apartment complex Thursday morning, where a fire erupted for a third time.
The same building at the Foster Creek Apartments in the 15100 block of Macadam Road South, burned twice last summer, Dawn Judkins, Deputy Chief of Mountain View Fire and Rescue said.
The building, which is boarded up, is under construction. Officials said no electricity is connected there.
Earlier, a massive plume of gray smoke could be seen from I-90.
Fire crews fought the fire defensively from the outside and say the flames are now under control.
Crews have since gone inside to make sure nobody was in the building.
Macadam Road South is closed from 144th to 152nd.
No injuries were reported.
Here’s a closer look at the #Tukwila apartment fire. I’ve learned this same building caught on fire twice before! So nobody was living inside at the time of the fire it was all boarded up. @KIRO7Seattle pic.twitter.com/BRcZ0E6f3Q
