BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Two people died in a crash Friday night in Bellingham, Washington State Troopers said.
The crash happened on the on-ramp to northbound I-5 at Sunset Drive.
Troopers said a BMW was heading onto I-5 when another car came from behind and rear-ended the BMW.
The car that hit the BMW went off the road and burst into flames, killing the two people inside, troopers said.
A young child inside the BMW suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
