Two injured in crash on I-5 in Seattle

A crash involving two vehicles on southbound I-5 at MLK in Seattle caused serious injuries, Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said.

The crash happened about 9 p.m. Thursday night, injuring two people, Johnson said.

A man suffered minor injuries, and a woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to nearby hospitals.

The crash caused the two left lanes of traffic to be blocked, causing backups.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
