PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies are investigating after they say two people were shot Wednesday afternoon at a property in the Waller area.

Deputies responded at about 3 p.m. after a woman called 911 from her home to report her husband had been shot.

According to deputies, a man told deputies he had been shot at a property in the 5100 block of Pioneer Way East, and then drove to his home in the area of 64th Street East and 48th Avenue East.

When deputies arrived at the shooting scene, they found another man, 40, who had suffered a gunshot wound.

That man was taken to the hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Investigators also found two others at the property and talked with them.

No description of the shooter has been made available.

Deputies said they had been called to the 5100 block of Pioneer Way East earlier in the day for a complaint of squatters.
