Two men were shot at a bus stop along Aurora Avenue Wednesday, according to the Seattle Police Department.
At about noon, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 10300 block of Aurora Avenue North, next to an O’Reilly Auto Parts.
“It’s not shocking, unfortunately. I wish it wouldn’t happen. I realize people have a lot of problems going on and it’s not easy to solve. And I just sort of go through with my life and it doesn’t stop me from coming here. I hope I’m not in the wrong place at the wrong time,” said Kent Waller who works in the area.
When officers arrived, they found two men in their 20s with gunshot wounds.
Both men were transported to Harborview Medical Center, both in serious condition. Police say both men were stable.
“It’s always been a little bit dicey like that. I moved up here about 8 years ago there was a shooting every other month maybe. And then they’ve just happened a lot more. It’s gotten a lot more violent in the last 2 years. Ever since COVID, people have gotten more desperate,” said resident Daniel McCall.
There is no suspect description at this time.
