TACOMA, Wash. — Two men, found sleeping in a car, were arrested for suspected drug dealing earlier this month in Tacoma.
According to a blog post by Pierce County Public Information Officer Carly Cappetto, a 37-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were taken into custody around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Pierce County deputies were responding to a different call near the 7600 block of East D St, when they came across a car just off the road with the two men sleeping inside, according to PIO Cappetto.
When they looked inside, the deputies not only found the two men, but they also found cash, “small clear baggies,” and a “white powdery substance.”
This substance was spread along the center console, according to PIO Cappetto.
Believing the items found inside the car were part of a drug deal, Pierce County deputies woke the two men up, broke their window, and took them into custody.
Both booked into Pierce County Jail and are currently facing drug charges.
