BREMERTON, Wash. — Two officers were injured and a suspect was shot and killed Sunday morning in Bremerton.
WHAT TO KNOW:
- 2 officers shot, injured by 52-year-old man

Police said officers approached a 52-year-old man who was parked at Lions Park near Lebo Avenue and Hefner.
The 52-year-old was identified by police Monday as Willie Floyd McCord.
McCord was in an SUV and was believed to have violated a court-issued domestic violence protection order, police said.
According to initial reports received by Bremerton police, McCord began immediately shooting at the officers. One officer was shot in his abdomen; the other officer was shot near his waist.
The officers returned fire, killing McCord, police said.
Both officers were taken to Harrison Hospital. The officer who was shot in the abdomen underwent surgery and is now recovering. The officer shot near his waist was treated and will be released sometime Sunday, police said.
