SHORELINE, Wash. — Two people were taken to the hospital with burns after an explosion at a Shoreline home.

At 4:45 a.m. Friday, fire crews were called to the 800 block of Northeast 189th Street.

They arrived to find that there had been an explosion at a home. The house appears to be uninhabitable, according to the Shoreline Fire Department.

A photo from the scene showed structural damage and a door and window separated from their frames.

Two people were taken to Harborview Medical Center with burns and a third person declined treatment from medics.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
