SEATTLE — Crews rescued two people from an apartment unit that was on fire Sunday morning, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
Around 10:30 a.m., crews responded to reports of visible flames and smoke coming from a unit on the fifth floor of a high-rise apartment building located near the 700 block of Seventh Avenue.
While firefighters inside the building worked to knock down the fire, crews outside of the building used an aerial ladder to rescue the unit’s two occupants.
Both occupants were in stable condition and transported to a hospital for further evaluation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
