Two women's marches to move through Seattle this weekend

SEATTLE — Thousands are expected to gather for two women’s marches in Seattle this weekend.

The first, the 2019 Womxn's March on Seattle, is on Saturday.

It begins with a rally at Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill at 9 a.m. followed by the march at 9:45 a.m. See a map of the march route here.

The march concludes at 11:30 a.m. at the International Fountain at Seattle Center, followed by a series of panels at various locations across Seattle Center.  See a schedule with topics, times and locations here.

Like last year, the next day, Sunday, is a “day of action” with events from Seattle Womxn Marching Forward. Sunday events include everything from food drives and free professional head shots to discussions on homelessness and women of color and workshops personal healing.

The second march, Seattle Women's March 3.0, hosted by the Be the Change Network, is on Sunday on 10 a.m.

It starts at Occidental Square, located at 117 South Washington Street, in Pioneer Square.
