An Uber driver pulled a gun and pointed it at a man’s head in a Bellevue road rage incident on Aug. 18, according to the Bellevue police.

The officer responding to the call at the 14300 block of Southeast Sixth Street was told the man’s wife was backing out of a parking space at an apartment complex, and accidentally almost backed into the driver who was driving behind her.

The driver began to argue with the couple and the driver attempted to run the man over, but he was able to jump out of the way.

The driver stopped his car, got out of his vehicle, pulled out a gun and pointed it at the man’s head.

After the driver drove off, it was later discovered by the Bellevue police that the driver was an Uber driver who had a passenger in the car with him while the incident occurred.

Police were able to verify the man’s story from an independent witness.

An investigator called the driver and convinced him to turn himself in.

When the driver arrived at the police station, he was arrested without incident and booked into jail, and the gun was recovered.
