SEATTLE — The University of Washington is not requiring applicants for the freshman class in fall 2021 to submit ACT or SAT scores due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The school said that not submitting the test scores will not harm any applicant in the review process.

High school juniors typically take these exams in the spring, but exams were canceled this spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.

International students are still required to submit English proficiency exam scores, but UW said it will also accept the Duolingo English Test.
