RENTON, Wash. — A vehicle and a power pole both caught fire after the driver crashed into the pole on Sunday night in Renton.
Firefighters were called to South 200th Street at Talbot Road South, where the area was completely blocked.
There were only minor injuries, but firefighters did not say who had suffered injuries.
Fire crews had to wait on Puget Sound Energy to de-energize a transformer before they could put out the flames, officials said. The damage to the pole was severe.
Officials did not say what led to the crash but are investigating.
