SAMMAMISH, Wash. — Friends and family confirm the man shot Wednesday night in Sammamish was Fabian Alvarez, 25. He lived in the apartment with his mom and three younger brothers. He was shot and killed just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

“On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, we unexpectedly lost a dear friend, a nephew, a brother, and a son. He was living with this Mother and three younger brothers when tragedy struck in the middle of the night and Fabian was suddenly taken from us, a Hero protecting his family at the young age of 25.Fabian was charismatic, funny, caring, and always had a bright smile on his face. He touched our lives in many different ways & will always be with us in memory and spirit.”
The three suspects arrested for the deadly home invasion robbery were set to appear in court on Friday afternoon. They chose not to appear. The 18-year-old and 20-year-old had bail set at $1 million, and the 24-year-old’s bail was set at $1.5 million.
Court documents reveal the motivation for the robbery. Investigators said the suspects were trying to steal drugs and money from Alvarez’s brother. There was a fight, and Alvarez was shot. He died at Harborview Medical Center.
The suspects are due back in court on July 20.
