Clipper Vacations has extended the suspension of its popular passenger-only ferry from Seattle to Victoria, British Columbia until May 20 due to the coronavirus.
The decision comes as Clipper Vacations’ parent company, Förde Reederei Seetouristik, recently announced it would suspend all worldwide ferry services operations until May 20.
“As we all know, this is an unpredictable path forward at this point and time. FRS and Clipper’s primary focus remains on returning back to service as soon as possible” Clipper Vice President of Marketing Scott Meis said in a news release.
The company said it will fully refund any booked travel through May 19 and will waive all change fees for any nonrefundable reservations for travel through May 31, 2020.
The Victoria Clipper departs from Pier 69 downtown Seattle and arrives at the Belleville Terminal in downtown Victoria. The trip takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
