EVERETT, Wash. — A neighborhood watch group and deputies teamed up to evict several squatters who took over an abandoned property in South Everett.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the group of neighbors reached out to the Sheriff’s Office about the home.
On Thursday, deputies worked with the group, Snohomish Health District and Code Enforcement to start the cleanup process.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the squatters are believed to be responsible for a number of crimes in the area and deputies have responded to numerous calls at the address over the past few months.

Deputies told KIRO 7 that 21 squatters had occupied the home.
