OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) announced Monday that liquor-licensed businesses in Washington state may offer one alcoholic drink to customers that show proof of vaccination.
The allowance is in effect from May 15 to June 30 and is optional.
Customers must provide proof of vaccination to their server and are limited to one drink.
The business may provide the drink free of charge or a non-industry sponsor may pay for the drink.
Ads and promotional information about the giveaway that are related to the drink for vaccination program may not contain the words “free” or “complimentary,” but may indicate the business is purchasing the beverage for the customer.
