WA State Patrol use PIT maneuver on woman in golf cart

According to a pair of tweets from Washington State Patrol (WSP) trooper Rick Johnson, a woman in distress attempted to drive a golf cart onto State Route 167 the wrong way on Sunday morning.

Just before 10 a.m. a WSP trooper used a PIT maneuver to prevent her from entering the freeway, tipping the cart onto its side.

The woman was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and an involuntary evaluation.

The WSP is looking for the owner of the golf cart and the public is asked to call the State Patrol with any information.
