Washington drivers are the fourth most distracted of any state in the country, according to a new study by WhistleOut.
The study used data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Association’s distracted driving fatalities data, as well as Distracted Driving Studies from 2018 and 2019 by traffic safety startup Zendrive that show the percentage of time drivers were recorded using their phones while driving.
New Mexico, Alabama, Montana, Washington and Kentucky were ranked as the five most-distracted states while driving. Arkansas, New York, Alaska, Pennsylvania and Indiana make up the five least-distracted driving states.
