Washingtonians rally at Olympia to protest Trump Administration policies

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Hundreds of Washingtonians gathered at the Capitol building in Olympia on Wednesday as part of a nationwide demonstration called “50 States, 50 Protests,” rallying against President Donald Trump’s Administration and early policies enacted.

As the demonstration’s name suggests, people from all 50 states participated in the movement.

Participants decried everything from the president’s immigration crackdown to his rollback of transgender rights and a proposal to forcibly transfer Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

There were also protests in Everett and other cities across Washington.

One organization, Snohomish County Indivisible, said they hope to present a letter to the local offices of Washington Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, stressing that they use “every tool at their disposal to fight back against the takeover of our government.”
