CANNON BEACH, Ore. — A father and son were rescued Sunday after getting caught in strong currents near Cannon Beach in Oregon.
US Coast Guard responded after someone called 911, saying two boogie boarders were missing.
Cannon Beach Firefighters deployed two rescue swimmers on the beach to try and find the pair, but they were put on standby while a Coast Guard helicopter from Air Station Astoria helped pull them to safety.
