WATCH: Mayor Durkan, Chief Best speak with protesters in Seattle

SEATTLE — Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, police Chief Carmen Best and fire Chief Harold Scoggins spoke to thousands of protesters outside of the Office of Emergency Management Tuesday evening.

Their appearance was unprompted and came about 45 minutes after they had delayed a scheduled news conference.

Durkan and Best addressed the crowd and then answered questions for about 20 minutes:
