WATCH: Rescue crews save ice climber who fell 100 feet on Sloan Peak

SNOQUALMIE NATIONAL FOREST, Wash. — New video shows the moment an ice climber is rescued after falling 100 feet on Sloan Peak in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest:


It happened just after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says the climber broke an arm and their leg was injured in the fall.

At 11:00 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office rescue helicopter, SnoHawk10, flew to Sloan Peak. The crew found the injured climber and his two partners on a steep, snow-covered ledge at about 6,600 feet.

The aircrew hoisted him and the rescuers off the ledge and took him to Providence Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries.
