SPOKANE, Wash. — A tornado touched down near Spokane Friday as severe weather hit the Inland Northwest.
The weather service confirmed the tornado touched down at about 3:30 p.m. It wasn't immediately known if any damage occurred due to the tornado.
The Spokesman-Review reports Spokane saw one-inch hail fall in some areas along with wind and rain, at least one mudslide and a couple brush fires.
Avista Utilities says about 2,500 customers were without power Friday afternoon. There were also reports of downed power lines and trees in Spokane Valley.
The National Weather Service in Spokane warned of severe thunderstorms in the area until 4:45 p.m. Friday night. Watch the tornado by clicking here, or watch below.
